Meet Semenhyia, the future of rap music in Ghana


One of the diligent young artistes who has fought a good fight to pave his way to join the league of men in the sphere of hip-hop music brewed in Ghana is no other than Semenhyia

Enock Prosper Kwofie, popularly known as Semenhyia is a Ghanaian musician from Sekondi in the Western Region. He is noted for his fante rap and freestyle

He was born and raised in Sekondi, a residential city in the Western Region of Ghana. He completed his secondary education at the Adiembra Senior High School, W/R.

Semenhyia saw himself in the limelight after dropping some freestyle rap on social media.

He demonstrated his lyrical dexterity to beat the likes Reskew, Bobo Dada Bee, Casta Troy, The Township, Ayesem and the then defending champion Yaw Lucaz to win the Rapper of the Year award at the 2019 edition of the Western Music Awards

Semenhyia is known to have released a few singles such as Pressure, Maye Hu, My Country Ghana and Elective Fante which is undoubtedly the most addiction rap song circulating the region now
