Kofi Owusu Dua Anto known mononymously as KODA has confidently stated that he does not sing gospel for awards but rather he preaches to people through his songs.

Speaking in an interview with Nana Osei Asare on Connect FM Entertainment Review, KODA said that he has no interest in awards, all he wants is to win souls for christ.

According to him, he was inspired by Pastor Joe Beechem who pursued God’s call to ministry, and with the support of “Spirit Of One”, he won souls in the country. That’s what he (KODA) wants to do.

He went further to say that he actually didn’t file for nomination at 3 Music Awards and Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2019, his “boys” did.

He even missed a nomination at this years RTC Western Music Awards.

KODA got nominated for the Gospel Artiste Of The Year and Gospel Song Of The Year for both 3 Music Awards 2019 and Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
