Forget Highlife,Pay Attention To Afro Pop And Dancehall Music-Musician Advises

Multifarious Eastern region’s finest Artiste, Rain Natis has advised that the young general of musicians should forget doing highlife Songs because the Highlife genre as we knew it before is gradually fading out.
Rain Natis commenting on the current state of Highlife Music said there will be nothing like Highlife music if serious efforts are not applied in the promotion of the genre.
Rain Natis in an interview with said ” I will urge my colleague musicians to pay more attention to other genre of music because Ghanaians don’t listen to Highlife songs anymore”
He added that “Musicians should not categorise themselves as Highlife musicians but should rather be versatile.These days a lot of artistes are also trying to be versatile and that’s very good. We are not pigeon-holed into one genre. Afro Pop and dancehall music are the trend now,if possible we should follow because even though we can do the Highlife,we can not do it better as compared to the likes of Nana Ampadu, Ampofo Agyei and the rest”
