'Give Your Award To Patience Nyarko'-Gospel Musician To Joe Mettle

We thought the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) euphoria dust is about settling on Joe Mettle’s “Bo Noo Ni” wining the Gospel Song of the Year last weekend. New to add her voice to the people who do not support Joe Mettle is Eastern Region’s Gospel musician Obaapa Gyamfuah.
According to  Obaapa Gyamfuah, Patience Nyarko’s hit song, ‘Obi Nyane Me’ was by far, more popular than Joe Mettle’s worship song “Bo Noo Ni”.
Speaking in an interview with Kumikasa.com, the 2017 Eastern Music Awards, Gospel Artiste Of The Year revealed that “Patience Nyarko’s ‘Obi Nyane Me’ song was more popular than Joe Mettle’s ‘Bo Noo Ni’. Is very shameful and I will advise Joe Mettle to give the award to Patience Nyarko because he doesn’t deserve the gospel song of the year award”.

Obaapa Gyamfuah continued that  “CharterHouse should decide to make ‘Gospel Song of the Year’ and “Popular Song Of The Year,’ a decision by the Board and adopt a simple strategy to come out with results that truly reflect who wins instead of 100% public votes.
Vodafone Ghana Music Awards came off last weekend at Accra International Conference Center with many music fans both present at the event and commentary on social media raising concerns about why Joe Mettle’s “Bo Noo Ni” won the Gospel song of the year.
